We had a lovely stay at marketplace hideaway. This is a great place to stay to explore the lakes, is fabulously quiet for such a central location and has everything you need for a few nights away. The facilities are great with beds that are comfy and a super large bath.
Condition was good but sitting room could have been cleaned much better. Outdoor near main door also could have been cleaned much better.
Rest all fine.
Stayed here for a long weekend with my mum, and had a fantastic time. The cottage is beautifully restored and well decorated with all the amenities you need with quality bedding and towels, etc. The garden is lovely and it is so peaceful. Even though the centre of town is literally on your doorstep, on walking through the lane and into the yard you are transported to a haven of peace. I spent a number of hours in the garden just listening to the birds and watching the occasional bee looking for pollen. There were lovely little touches, like the biscuits and Kendal mint cake. My mum and I would like to thank Lynn and her husband for a wonderful stay in their fabulous cottage. As an aside, not only are you in the centre of Kendal town which has loads of shops, cafes and interesting places to visit, but the bus station and train station are only just minutes away, making exploring Cumbria without a car extremely simple.
Brilliantly placed for the shops and pubs of Kendal. The cottage has everything you need, very clean and cosy.
Just Spent 3 Nights in Kendal at Market Place Hideaway Yard 30, "It does what it says on the tin" a very nice cosy cottage with everything you need, very clean through out with everything for you stay even down to a pair of bino's, a torch a very nice welcome pack well appointed, Lynn kept us updated with texts and offers of help if needed. perfect for a central location for your stay in the lake district. i can definitely recommend it
The location was perfect, the accommodation was very comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kendal
We found the accomadation so comfy with everything you require for a vacation with al fresco dinning on your doorstep with an added bonus of an oldie world English market square with markets on Saturday and Wednesday with bread to die for and if required English pubs on your door step.
The location couln't be more central to Kendal .
Anyone with any mobility disability the stairs to the lower living area can be a challenge.
When you walk through the ginel ( passage way in colloquial English ) from the apartment to the market square on a Saturday and Wednesday morning the activity of the market is amazing.
Top our list when staying in Kendal, Cumbria.
