“Excellent place to stay”
Reviewed May 28, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

This property is in a quiet location next to a small stream which was lovely to listen to. Alison the owner was very friendly and came to check that we had everything we needed when we arrived. There were plenty of games, books and DVDs to keep everyone occupied and we felt at home and relaxed. We did not have far to travel to visit many of the Lake District's sights. Thanks for sharing your delightful property with us and we hope to visit again.

“idyllic stay in Lake District”
Reviewed May 1, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The cottage was presented at the highest standard and had all necessary facilities for a good stay.
It was relaxing and the scenery was breath taking.
Plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas, as well as further afield.
I would definitely recommend Dragon's Den for a couple or family with small children looking for relaxing stay in the Lake District.
Thoroughly enjoyable.

A comfortable and cosy stay with ample information about the area, found that really useful.Alison was very nice and made sure that all was good on arrival.

Good collection of games, DVD's and books, though we didn't get much time for them. I feel Dragon Den is a very apt name for that cosy place.

“Comfortable well located base to explore the Lakes District”
Reviewed October 3, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

A very comfortable and we'll set up cottage. Generous living area and full kitchen. Located in quiet village, but in excellent position to head out each day to explore Lakes District. Parking on street, but this was never a problem in the quiet village. Host communication was excellent. Also local public access walks right from your door.

“Excellent all round”
Reviewed June 12, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 5 year old daughter. It was exactly as all the other reviews suggest - lovely cottage in a really lovely quiet spot. It is clearly really well looked after and has a much better range of 'extras' than you would usually expect from a self catering cottage - from having washing up liquid and cling film in the kitchen so you don't have to bring/buy essentials, through to board games, books and DVDs in case the Lake District weather lives up to its reputation. There was even some fresh eggs and tea for us when we arrived.

Alison the owner was really helpful and friendly throughout the booking process and checking we had arrived ok and had everything we needed. For us this place was perfect and I'm sure we'll be back to stay in future.
