Just got back from a weekend away at the Hyning Estate and couldn't recommend it enough. We were a group of friends, including some with small children, and this was perfectly suited to everyone.
The best thing about The Hyning Estate was the setting - beautiful countryside and stunning views, very closely followed by the quality of the finish Jan and Richard have achieved on the properties - we used 3 properties and all we're immaculately presented and felt very luxurious.
The layout of Hall Beck cottage was particularly impressive - cooking for 17 people from the spacious kitchen was a pleasure, we could all dine at one table, and we all comfortably fit in the lounge afterwards for watching TV & playing games. The outdoor space for Hall Beck cottage also meant the little ones good have a run around whilst the big ones kicked about a football!
There's already talk of returning next year!

When we visited in July 2013 the proclamation was that of Arnold Schwarzenegger, "I'll be back" and we were. It could not have been easy to bring a project of this magnitude from concept to implementation but compared with task of maintaining standards, the development may be viewed as the lesser task. However, the standards have been maintained and developed.
Richard and Jan are to be congratulated on their foresight and on the effort expended in making each visit a memorable event.
Methinks Arnold Schwarzenegger might be quoted again.

Bird e and grooms family stayed for the weekend of the wedding and it was perfect. Everything you could need to cater for large and small groups is available. There was room in one cottage for us all to congregate to enjoy a meal together. It was a perfect place for all ages. Children enjoyed playing in the beautiful gardens and there were places to relax in and outdoors for those who wished to take life easy. Walks available on the doorstep and easy access to Kendal and other areas.
The accommodation and all the fittings are of extremely high quality. And the owners were helpful, relaxed and friendly.
