“Great stay!”

Wonderful little cottage, and immaculately clean throughout! We had a great stay here with two friends and our baby, and there was plenty of room for our travel cot in the main bedroom. The cottage is compact, but in a comfortable and cosy way and very well equipped (had all expected utilities, towels etc). The hot tub is a great addition, and as with the rest, is very clean. Was great sitting in there at sunset watching the horses in the next field with a (plastic) glass of prosecco! The location is useful for sightseeing around the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, and also only a few miles drive from large supermarkets and amenities. We had a great time, and would highly recommend staying there.

“Perfect cottage for a relaxing break in the countryside”
Reviewed October 7, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Lovely cottage in a gorgeous, peaceful location. Catherine provided everything we needed and the cottage was spotlessly clean and full of country charm. We particularly enjoyed watching rabbits play in the garden in the morning, local walks in the day (Gummer's How was a favourite) and sipping champagne under the stars in the hot tub at night.

“Had such a great time we had to come back!”
Reviewed September 6, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This was our second trip to the cottage this year as we enjoyed it so much the first time. The cottage was immaculate and beautifully presented when we arrived. It is fully equipped and even provides puzzles and games to do in the evening. We had a wonderful time over the bank holiday going on many local walks from the house. Visiting Lake Windermere and the surrounding towns was a very easy and quick journey from the house too. The nearby Station Inn was a lovely place to have our last evening meal in the Lake District. A highlight was relaxing in the hot tub in the evening and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

“Very Peaceful”
Reviewed August 30, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Fantastic holiday property in a great location and the owners runs this place flawlessly.

I normally look for very modern, fairly newly renovated holiday cottages but this place had a very homely vibe to it (plus a hot tub!) so we thought we'd give it a go.

We were not disappointed. Everything you could possibly need in the house (did I mention the hot tub?) and very close to Kendal and Windermere (both great days out). On top of that it's right next door to the Ourdoor Activity Centre which is well worth a visit (recommend the clay shooting and archery).

Can't recommend this place enough, we had a great week.

I am very pleased you enjoyed the cottage. I do point out in the information that a car is required as It is a rural cottage. I hope that it did not cause you too much inconvenience and am pleased you enjoyed it overall. Thank you x
