five in the group, having a long weekend in Cumbria, the Brewhouse sign was spotted and we followed it to what turned out to be a very special little place. We were only going to have one beer and move on, but on all of our tastings, we decided the beers were excellent so we stayed and had Tapas style lunches and home made steak and ale pie. Truly well done and delicious. My friend and I are avid home brewers and showed interest in the brew plant behind the bar screen. To our surprise, the brewer opened it up and gave us a tour of his plant. I do believe that the beer I was drinking was his 1st brew (Torchlight) an excellent well balanced brew. All of our group were impressed and would not hesitate to recommend the venue. A thumbs up from 5 Scousers.
