“Very quaint and a chocolate heaven!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2014

We called in here for hot chocolate and cakes. There is a large choice of types of hot chocolate, all themed, and the two we had were very nice. My partner had carrot cake, which was really tasty and with yummy topping, and I had triple choc cake, which was very good and pretty rich. Both good portion sizes. The surroundings are very quaint, like an old-fashioned tea shop. Go downstairs too for the chocolate shop itself for a huge mind-boggling array of chocolate in all shapes and sizes! Yummy yum!

“Pleasant choc shop...but”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2014

We drove here from Millom because the leaflet we had picked up said they made chocolates here and you could watch them being made. This is not the case any more, which was disappointing (another group of people came in expecting the same thing so it wasn't just us). However they do have lots of chocs on sale in the shop downstairs, plus the cafe upstairs. Service was pleasant. Worth a visit if you are in the area but dont expect to see chocolate making.

“Can you choc it?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014 via mobile

This place is chocolate heaven. They have lots of different shapes and flavours you will love.
We also went to the tea room above the shop.
I decided to have a piece of chocolate cake and a minty hot chocolate. Not good. I felt a bit sick which meant I didn't enjoy the cake as well as I should of done. Will have to go back.

Stop by and see the delights!

“Hot chocolate heaven!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2013

Myself and my husband took shelter from the horrible rain in this gorgeous little quaint cafe today! The owner was very friendly, and welcoming, and we enjoyed 2 gorgeous flavoured hot chocolates! Loads of flavours to choose from, and cake offering was also very good too. Downstairs there is a delectable chocolate shop for chocolate lovers!

“Chocomania!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2013 via mobile

Willy Wonker would have loved it here! There is everything to tempt the seasoned chocoholic and more.

The downstairs shop sells sweets and chocolates of pretty well every description and all of the highest quality.

Upstairs, there is a small cafe and you can choose from a myriad of permutations based on the hot chocolate theme, along with a delicious array of cakes and snacks.

The building is ancient and quirky with not a right angle in the place. Staff wear period (and slightly naff) dress.
