(reviewing as a veggie) The Station Inn has a good, varied menu, more choice than most pubs and quite well-priced. The menu seems to be based around “hearty” food, so not a place to come if you’re after a light snack, indeed I remember the 'pie' being very filling. I would say the only thing it is missing to make it an “ultimate” pub menu is a Veggie Burger. Their combo platter is well worth the money if you have a large party, you get a good amount of food on it (somthing other pubs with platters could learn from). Friendly service (from most of the waitress’) and a nice family atmosphere make it a calm place to relax and enjoy your meal. They even have a fish tank, the tables on both sides of which are very popular and will be reserved on Sundays (along with many of the other tables).
Have included a picture of the sticky toffee pudding which one of our party had and I tried, it was delicious and blissfully free of almonds or other nuts which so often chefs like to ruin them with.
Quite a large slice too I might add.
For families with Children there is a large outdoor seating area with an adventure playground (good sized!), Crazy Golf........and Alpacas.
