“A delight!”
Reviewed July 17, 2012

One of the best places where I've had lunch in Kendal (and the standard is high in that town). I had fish'n chips and the fish was really fresh. My only regret is that I was too full to try any of their desserts - next time! Lovely coffee too, which you can buy from Farrer's on the High Street. Excellent service and a very pleasant ambience.

“anoasis in busy kendal town”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

hidden away in the centre of Kendal the Joshua Tree is welcoming in summer ( cool outside area) or winter ( a real fire downstairs ) is a lovely focal point and the food is straight forward lakeland fare plus the odd daily special to tempt hungry travellers. staff are freindly and accommodating and prices below average and the food above !

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed April 8, 2012 via mobile

Down an alleyway in town not the easiest place to find but food is worth it. Been several times and had different choices each time, home cooked and fab. Will be returning.

“Hidden cafe's are the best”
Reviewed April 7, 2012

My boyfriend and myself come here regularly. I always have the cumberland sausage baguette served with chips. My boyfriend has the same but with cranberry sauce and melted cheese on top. It's been awhile since we eat here. But we will return again and again.
