Perfect service and perfect food
Highly recommended
Lots of superb choice from the menu - all food that I could see looked amazing!
The food is all cooked at time of ordering so time needed until you receive the delicious food but well worth it! X

Went to order and collect a takeaway. Lovely food - very tasty. Good range of options. Slightly more expensive than other takeaways but good nonetheless.

We are now frequent visitors to Kendal, having bought a holiday lodge nearby. The Sawadee is now firmly on our list of "must visit" restaurants (with Deja Vu and Joshua Tree). The decor, as in almost all Thai restaurants, is clean and authentic. It seems like a family concern and we feel that the staff take an interest in making it a good experience. I am, I have to say, astonished that at least one reviewer questioned the authenticity of the food. It is Thai through and through and most certainly not "like Chinese". I'm afraid that's just ignorance. The food is beautifully cooked and presented with the fragrant flavours that make Thai food such a delight. The starter platter is well worth having with a great variety of sauce accompaniments. Main courses are heavily orientated towards stir-fries as is common with most Thai restaurants. There is a lightness to those at the Sawadee which we really appreciated (and NO "saltiness"!). Desserts and coffees are particularly reasonably priced. There's just nothing not to like here. Good food, good ambience and a friendly staff. If I could add just one or two little constructive criticisms: 1. If you order a la carte as opposed to the set menus then you have to pay for the prawn crackers. That seems a bit niggardly and increases impatience levels if there are any delays with the starters. 2. The Set Menu options are limited and a bit predictable. We would like to see a change occasionally. Let's not split hairs, though. This is an excellent place at a reasonable price. Thank you, Sawadee.

Have had takeaway from here but not eaten in the restaurant before. Loved the modern decor and were served by friendly and attentive staff despite a very busy evening. Its always a great sign to see so many locals in a place and we knew 3 other parties. Lovely starters and good curries. Red curry did lack a bit of heat. We will definitely be back :)
