Went for lunch here after reading all the positive reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Lovely place, really fresh tasty food and whilst it was really busy - we were able to share a table with another group which added to the atmosphere. Will look forward to going back :-)

Both restaurants are beautifully clean and welcoming. We only had a coffee and a slice of cake but, honestly, the sticky toffee cake was awesome! There is a fantastic salad bar in the vegetarian restaurant with enticing looking quiches as well as old favourites like macaroni cheese. Our little Yorkie was also welcome. We shall be returning and next time will try their other restaurant further down. Highly recommend.

Kept meaning to try here but was always packed each time but today we were lucky. What a great meal. I had the goats cheese and red onion quiche and then you chose 3 salads which were amazing. So tasty all of the food and friendly staff. Will definitely go again if we can get a table! Noticed that the soup kitchen further down is theirs too and offers meat options too and also appeared to allow dogs in which is a major point for us.

Had lunch here with a friend (in the cafe that serves non-vegetarian too).
We had the Moroccan Lamb wrap, you could choose a salad accompaniment and we shared some chips.
EVERY SINGLE MOUTHFUL WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!
The wrap had layers of flavour and texture that were simply sublime, i could have eaten my Moroccan couscous all day long, it was GORGEOUS and the chips were the best I've had for a very long time.
People were coming in for soups and everything that passed by looked scrumptious...also, they have aater and flavoured water available at no extra cost.
I cannot recorecommend this lovely cafe highly enough...it is worth going to Kendal just to try it.
Fantastic, all-round perfection. Well done to the owner and staff. Amazing!

A warm and inviting name.

Great value plates of exciting looking healthiness and a variety of soups, salads, bakes and so on.

A pleasant atmosphere and a glimpse of a well-loved local MP.

Dog friendly.
