Stayed at Kendal Premier Inn overnight. Great location, parking and rooms spotless. Very friendly staff at reception and at the adjoining pub. Good value, couldnt get booked but got a cancellation so worth trying closer to the date. Lovely place to stay - evening the wine bar if you like real ale/german beers and food at New Moon - we had a really lovely meal and we had a great night with live rock music at the George and Dragon. If only we could sort the weather!!

Spent a Friday night in May 2011, hotle in a great location, very central. Parking is a nightmare, due to there only being 15 spaces, which you have to pay. Fortunate to be able to park at entry, therefore no fee. Premier need to get their hands in the old pockets and buy the carpark. Inn located perfect spot to explore Kendal, next to shops and numerous restaurants. Service was excellent, with helpfule "smiling" staff. Rooms were, as you would expect purple, with the same old lavendar picture, clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast (continental) good value, hit the mark. One of the best Inns we stayed in. Well done Premier.

We stayed at this hotel and were extremely impressed with the service and location. Margaret on reception was extremely helpful as we wanted to stay extra nights but we wanted to stay in the same room. She was really helpful and thank you Margaret as you were off shift. I would most definately recommend a stay at this hotel.

Stayed for two nights whilst visiting the area - there isn't a great deal of choice around the lakes that isn't a 200-year old B&B so if you're looking for something remotely modern you're kind of stuffed.

Biggest problem is parking (as many others have said). There is very limited space (I was blocked in by vans twice) and it's pay and display so no chance of a lie in.

Guy who checked me in (reminded me of Jim Bowen) was a bit of a jobsworth. Asked to change room to the ground floor and was just told they were centrally allocated and nothing he could do. All other staff I met were lovely.

Room was below average. No fridge, small TV, window that didn't open. Bed was nice enough.

Internet was VERY expensive - £10 per day.

Paid £70 per night which I believe was too much. Wouldn't stay again.

Stopped for 3 nights in April 2011. My stay was great! Customer service was absolutley great! Very friendly, warm and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. Staff also very informative about hotel & area.
Rooms very clean and very comfortable! Would definately go back :-)
Only problem was lack of parking outside hotel, but there is a car park situated just around the corner.
