Absolutely a dream, breath taking views, pure nature, plenty of boat trips etc. A lovely day out for all ages, but Be mindful, the weather is pretty chilly, so do carry some warm clothes.

The Lake District is a long way from where we live but we regularly make the journey there to climb the mountains. Almost every time I am surprised by how beautiful the valleys are.
It is green because it rains a lot so it is always worth having a “plan B”. I recommend that sometimes your plan B is go out anyway and enjoy the landscape as far as you can see it!

I used to live in the Lakes - but that was 48 years ago!! So, of course, much has changed - but for me to the better. Road communication is much better and the range of shopping in Kendal much improved. Yes it rains - a lot!!! but that keeps the scenery beautifully green.

I have been exploring The Lake District in Cumbria county England and have decided that everything I’ve ever heard about the charm, beauty, grace, and uniqueness of the area is absolutely true. This mountainous region of North West England is a wildly popular holiday destination famous for its lakes, forests and mountains. While out exploring today I experienced rain, sun, mist, fog, rainbows, sun, and rain again, which isn’t surprising considering the fact that this area has the highest annual percentage of rainfall in all of England. The Lake District was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017 and I am loving my time here exploring it! Visit if you can!
