Having been to Hill Top we felt that this completed our Beatrix Potter experience. I had no idea she was such an interesting person and had done so much to help conserve parts of the Lake district, having owned so many farms and land and leaving so much to the National Trust. The art work was so detailed and it was fascinating looking at the originals. The building was quaint and the stair treads worn by years of feet. I could imagine Beatrix meeting her husband there. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
