“Delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2014

If you haven't been you have to go and sample the gingerbread - it's the best! I ordered heart shaped gingerbread in little boxes from them for my wedding favours and the service I received was great, they delivered them the day before the wedding with spares in case any got broken. As well as visiting the shop to buy some gingerbread....while you're there go round the back of the shop into the church graveyard...and stand underneath and air vent at the back of the shop....smells awesome....seriously, do it!

“Wow!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2014

Now if you are thinking if travelling to Grasmere, you will find this shop by smell before you see it. On entering the smell is just amazing, if you weren't thinking of buying ginger bread, you will definitely purchase before you leave. A quaint little shop, served by a shop assistant dressed liked someone from days gone by, lovely. Ginger bread to die for. Definitely worth a visit, it's a must.

“Join the queue!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2014 via mobile

Everyone you speak to who has visited Grasmere mentions this shop so we dutifully joined the queue to see what all the fuss was about. It was worth the wait! Lovely gingerbread that would be worth the visit alone even if you did nothing else in the town

“Can't visit Grasmere without popping in!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2014

Not our first time here and can't resist it!
The smell itself lures you in! It is tiny inside so you really can't stay long at all (couple of mins).
Lovely staff every time and of course very tasty Gingerbread!
We did queue for about 5-10 mins but they have a basket of Victorian Toys at the doorway to entertain the children whilst you wait. The Wooden Spoon garden is also an interesting feature!
