A nice easy walk from Grasmere, take the road which goes uphill behind the bus stop and telephone box which are across from the co-op, from there it is very well marked with signs through the forest. Definitely worth the walk.

We parked in Grasmere and walked up via White Crag to Helm Crag. It is quite steep but has been graded so easy enough. Takes about 3 hours up and back depending on your fitness.
We carried on around and back via Easedale Tarn.
It can get quite busy so go early and watch out for dog mess as popular path with dog owners.
Lots of cafes in Grasmere for refreshments at the end.

Nice hike to the top of the crag, not too challenging and takes about 3 hours comfortably. Good views of Lake Grasmere close to the top. Pub at the bottom too!

About my favourite view in the Lakes. Grasmere village and lake!! It’s hard work but really worth it!! This time we went up with two Miniature Schnauzers who loved it. It is easier coming down!! Then beer.
