“Worth a diversion”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

Took the higher route into Grasmere to finish in Helm Crag - the views all the way were excellent (clear day) and those from the top of Helm Crag over Grasmere made the effort worthwhile - if you have the weather and time check it out!

“Amazing views!”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

The climb up is well worth it for the views! We then walked along the ridge and returned via Easedale. This walk is not for the faint hearted though! The paths are not always well defined and very rocky in places. It was exhilarating to complete a challenging walk.

“Walk at Helm Crag”
Reviewed June 24, 2014

We did a circular walk over the top and thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic views back to Grasmere and across to the various crags around. We made it to the Lamb & Lion (not a difficult climb) before descending back via Green Burn. A real highlight!

“Lovely walk on a lovely day”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

The National Trust appear to have done some work on the ascent from Grasmere with steps and supports on the route to help keep walkers a little safer from slips and slides.

A lovely family walk and a great challenge for those new to the area.
