Despite wet weather we did above walk - weather made it exhillerating and more challenging, but nonetheless beautiful - the weather brought out the fragrance of the Lakes.

“amazing waterfalls all the way”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

go even when its wet the waterfalls are amazing, its only a quick walk and if you're really pushed for time even going to the top of the falls for photos is worth doing.

“Great walk”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Great walk up to the Tarn, walking anti-clockwise. Walking around the Tarn itself is not quite so easy as the path becomes indistinct after a while and it can be boggy in parts. Nevertheless, it seems a shame to walk up to the Tarn and not go around it.
The path down is much rougher than the one going up if you do it this way 'round.
Be aware that parking is expensive in Grasmere.

“Well worth the effort”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Visited Grasmere and decided to climb to the Tarn. We are not used to walking or climbing in the Lake District, and nearly gave up and returned down hill several times, as it gets quite rocky and steep in parts, but other walkers coming down advised us to carry on, so we did and it was well worth it in the end.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

Nice walk, not too difficult but too hard for anyone who is a little infirm as it is quite steep and rugged.

The view when you get to the Tarn at the top is stunning and some great photo opportunities of the reflections.
