“Simply stunning”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

Steady walk with a couple of challenging slopes but nothing that should put you off. It well worth the effort to get to the Tarn which is stunning and calm. Watch out for the stepping stones that start the return journey, they can be a bit slippy but we watched over a dozen people manage them before going ourselves.

First class walk, well worth it not to difficult just took our time, a little rocky in one place just up from the water falls, but looking back at the views were just stunning

“Start of many”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

Was recommended this walk by a friend who had done it previously with his young children. Was a lovely loop and very intuitive to follow with plenty of places to stop and admire the ever changing view. Loop took about 3 hours with a stop for picnic by the beautiful lake.

“Great View”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

A relatively not too bad walk for a novice. Much of the path is already made up of stones and slate only gets a bit boggy if you decide to go further.

“Walking in the rain”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

Torrential rain, but a fabulous walk from Grasmere to the Tarn, coming back a different way. It is worth walking round the tarn as well although it was ver boggy in places. Spectacular views and wonderful waterfalls.
