“A beautiful building in a lovely guaint village immortalized in a poem by WIlliam Wordsworth.”
Reviewed March 7, 2012

William Wordsworth is buried in the church cemetery with several other members of his family. Note the oak pews from 1881 and the statue of Madonna and Child by Ophelia Bell in the church. She married artist William Heaton Cooper in this church.

“Go to a service”
Reviewed February 23, 2012

This is a genuine church with a really great vicar. Make sure that you experience a service rather than just the tourist visit

“beautiful beams in a well kept church”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

In the centre of Grasmere, a warm and welcoming church seemingly left open on trust every day.
Beautiful vernacular architecture, the roof beams most impressive

“Not a lot to see”
Reviewed January 20, 2012

Ok for a quiet walk around the graveyard and the interior but not a lot to see. Perhaps there is more to add to regarding comments on a village church ? Not knocking it.
