Very reasonably priced, interesting collection in the museum. Sylvia did an excellent tour of the house, very informative and helpful. Was good to hear about the connections with Coleridge and Southey too.

We visited here on Friday 7th December after an absence of many years. It was delightful to see the rooms and hear again about Wordsworth’s time there. The room covered in newspaper was very interesting. It may have been the children’s room but I loved looking at his suitcase( so tiny for a months travelling)

This is well worth a visit, the tour guide was exellent(it was small group) so much information about Wordswoth and the cottage is just as it was when the family lived there. The funiture and artifacts are all origanel. The cottage was like stepping back in time 200 years, also a interesting museum and very nice but a bit pricy tearoom.

Despite not knowing much about Wordsworth before teh visit, certainly felt informed after. The museum is excellent and you get to piece together teh history of Wordsworth, his life and writing. It is a guide tour and the staff are very knowledgeable. The best part is seeing all the original pieces of furniture that are in the home just as it was in Wordsworth time. You really feel that you have stepped back in time.

A three hundred year old house lived in by Wordsworth when writing his most famous poetry. Little changed since he lived there over two hundred years ago.

Very atmospheric on a dull and wet autumn afternoon. Our guide lit some candles in the lounge and then talked us through each room in the house. Original furniture and other possessions with interesting details provided by our guide who was knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.
