I went here with my husband on 12th March 2013. We had walked from Ambleside and were looking for somewhere to treat ourselves. We were warmly welcomed by the waiter and served from our table. We had earl grey tea and cream scones, which were to die for, a real treat after such a long walk. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Lovely interior decoration, fantastic curb appeal, a warm welcome by the staff & above all lovely food & tea in china cups & saucers.

Poached eggs on home made bread toasted & a delicious jacket potato with piping hot early grey tea.

Will definitely be back.

Visited this cafe recently and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. They did not mind when we went in with a slightly damp and muddy dog... Loved the decaf mocha :-) very accommodating with good food.

This is a little gem and most to be walked past if in grasmere. The biggest and friendliest welcome from the male that was serving. Took are orders at the table did us an offer for our little girls dinner for a sandwich and crisps also on our drinks for us. The food was gorgeous I had cream cheese and smoked salmon sandwich whiz melted in my mouth and my partners soup of the day was gorgeous.... Very friendly helpful staff and lovely little quirky decor...!
