Pub Food: The Lamb Inn serves some of the finest pub food in the Lake District, with something to tempt all appetites. Enjoy a combination of locally sourced hearty traditional pub main course classics to lighter snacks and delicious homemade afternoon teas.

Ate here on two successive evenings. Both occasions the food was very good. Had the daube of beef bourguignon with mash & veg - the meat hardly needed chewing & the sauce was very good indeed. Good selection of beers, local & not so local, with efficient friendly service. I'd certainly eat here again after a day in the hills.

Surprisingly was actually a nice lunchtime visit. We always wonder whether national companies take pride in their estate's. Well take a bow Best Western. Very good food and real ales (B).

I asked for a gin and tonic and was given a beautiful gin and tonic (by Daniel) with lots of ice, pink pepper corns and a sprig of rosemary. It looked tasted and smelled lovely. Thank you Daniel. For our meal we had burgers which were thick and juicy, really nice chunky chips too. Great little pub.

This is the pub connected to the Red Lion Hotel, good range and quality of food, and an even better range of hand pulled ale, pleasant surroundings, friendly staff, ideal for a bite to eat and a beer.
