Fantastic little find. Amazing food that we would had paid so much more for. We had a 3 course meal with a bottle of red and coffee and the total can to just over £60. This was a deal for eating between 6-7 and well worth it. Involves getting a bottle of wine for £5 if two courses are ordered. Can recommend the lamb rump and belly pork. Portions are hearty and the food tasted amazing.

We pre booked on passing, Sara's is a bright looking little Bistro just past the coop. The food is excellent as is the service, all the food was cooked fresh to order. Our starters of minestrone soup and ham hock terrine were delicious, my steak was tender and flavoursome. My wife's Fish and chips were divine she informed me. We shared English cheese and biscuits and there was plenty for two, kept the port to myself though. A bottle of water a coffee. There is a deal of a bottle of wine for a fiver if you book to eat between 6 and 7 if you order two courses each. the bill came to a very good value £57.

Staying in Grasmere with a few friends, a couple of us were wandering around Grasmere on a Saturday afternoon looking for a place on eat on Saturday evening. But there were seven of us in total, one of whom is vegetarian, and even though it was the end of September, Grasmere was busy so getting into a restaurant at short notice wouldn't be easy.

Of all those in the village, the menu at Sara's was the one that stood out, and with the additional offer of a bottle of house wine for £5 per couple, it seemed ideal. We called in to see if they could fit us in, and after checking the bookings they said they could, but we'd need to confirm quickly. Back at the house, a quick discussion and then we called to confirm.

when we arrived at Sarah's we were immediately met by the hosts and shown to a large round table, which easily accommodated the seven of us - with such a large group, we had half expected to be put on two tables or squeezed onto one for six, so already things were looking good.

Between the seven of us, we had a wide selection of the starters and main courses, and dining in a large group, timing is everything. We were impressed that all of our starters, and then all of our main courses came out together - there's nothing worse than having to sit and let your meal get cold while you wait for the last of the groups meals to be prepared.

The Staff were very friendly, the décor bright and modern without being overpowering and the general ambience was great. The final icing on the cake being that at no point did we feel as though we were being rushed, as so often happens when a Restaurant squeezes you in at the last minute.

There were no complaints at, the portions were good without being too big, very well presented and we all complimented the chef and staff at the end of the evening.
