Love this place. Clean, tidy and welcoming in an idyllic location. The bacon butties were well stacked with lean back bacon and very reasonably priced. Tea and coffee fresh and well presented. The staff are friendly and welcoming and Poppy the dog particularly liked the young lady who brought her a doggy biscuit each time we were there! A really pleasant place to relax and take in the stunning views.

No matter when you visit Coniston Water, it is so beautiful, people flock there. The Bluebird Cafe is in the perfect spot to take in the scenery, people watch and have a bite to eat. The menu is varied and there are daily specials on offer inside.
Although busy, service is efficient and friendly and the food is really good.

Has the tourist market cornered as it's right on the lake shore where everything is happening, Coniston village is a brisk ten minute walk away. They serve up some decent coffee and cakes and a good selection of snack lunches, order and pay and it will be brought to table by uniformed staff. It obviously gets very busy and soon fills up so seating is at a premium, there is inside, a covered outside or real outside with benches shared with a myriad of ducks!!! There is a seperate hatch for outside drinks and ices etc

We had a delicious coffee and cake here after our ride on the steam gondola. Named after the Bluebird hydroplane which crashed on Coniston in 1967, killing Donald Campbell in his water speed breaking record. It is a busy cafe, with seating inside and out. At busy times, you place your order and pay, it is then prepared and brought over to your table. Tip: have a look at the cakes before joining the queue to order!

This is a very busy cafe located at the waters edge. The seating areas have the benefit of fabulous views and there is an alfresco covered terrace, which is lovely on a sunny day.

The menu focuses on lite meals and snacks, with a good range of salads. The home made cakes are good value and tasty. The staff are hardworking and obliging.
A really excellent cafe, great for families and couples.
