Lovely cafe right on the waters edge. Most impressed with the cleanliness of the toilets. Very good coffee

Must be one of the best locations for a cafe anywhere.

Benn rebuilt, very interesting construction. Great place for feeding ducks, catching a ferry etc.

Prices not to bad, been on foot and on the bikes many times. Most a the car parking is pay and display , yellow lines on the road to the lake, there is some free parking to be had just by the Cafe and in the village.

Lovely cafe in a very pleasant setting, heated outside area was very nice and would be just perfect on a summers evening......only called in for a drink, had 4 hot chocolates with the works; cream, marshmallows, flake...... and a cake each - all very nice, reasonably priced for location and quality of seating / furnishings / toilets etc. Personal preference however would be to have clotted cream with the scone instead of the air filled fluffy stuff - let's show tourists how to do things properly in England?! And would absolutely love to see afternoon tea on the menu........sat looking out over Coniston Water, glass of fizz in hand, indulging in delicious sandwiches and some naughty cream cakes......I can taste it already (please)!!

All in all, a really lovely visit whilst skating, will definitely be back again :-)

An Oasis in the middle of what are a load of very poor places. It's self service but the food is freshly prepared and brought to your table, ate there several times and some very tasty dishes and pretty good value. Shame they are not open for dinner. Great position right on the lake and a very pleasant terrace. Well worth stopping there.

Please go to this cafe, again, like every where in Coniston the staff were friendly . Take a bag of food onto the foreshore and feed the waterfowl. I would suggest, however, if like me you go in November take warm clothes.Switch you camera to take B&W photos and capture the real mood of the lake.

Thank Terence W
