The Room was spotless and well maintained and essentials were topped up daily.
A Television was in each room to make the evenings pass more smoothly and the Heating was on
from the afternoon until early morning, as I attended in October it was needed.
A wide choice of Breakfast from a simple bowl of Cereal to a big Fry up if required.
The owner is a happy and only to happy to help sort of person and they never imposed
on your stay at all. The location is unimportant as Coniston is quite small but it a short walk from
the Fells and even closer is Coniston Waters. My only downer was leaving and coming back
to London :-(

Room Tip: The Back rooms have a much better view.

Fantastic long weekend in Conistion with four dear College friends. Walking in Langdale, bike ride (short bit of pushing) around the lake, almost up the Old Man and re-discovered John Ruskin.

Great pub food and quiz at the Brittannia Inn,Elterwater but the stand out part of the reunion was the welcome, warmth and hospitality at Oaklands.

Judith and her family made us really welcome and the breakfasts, packed lunches and apricot flapjack were superb.

Unbelievable value for money....will be going back.

Can't fault the welcome, comfort, quietness, view, proximity to Coniston & places to eat, and the helpfulness of Judith, Zeke & their daughter-in-law & grand-daughter. Breakfast was good too. thanks.

As I must say more before this review will be accepted, I'll repeat: Can't fault the welcome, comfort, quietness, view, proximity to Coniston & places to eat, and the helpfulness of Judith, Zeke & their daughter-in-law & grand-daughter. Breakfast was good too. thanks.

Stayed here as part of a walking holiday in May and whilst touring the Lake District with my wife in September.

Same friendly welcome, spacious, spotless comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts. Also has off street parking which can be at a premium in the Lake District.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay on both occasions. Highly recommended.
