“Good laugh with friends”
Reviewed December 24, 2012

Not too expensive, a group of ten of us popped in for a tour one rainy bank holiday Monday and had a great time. As it was the end of the month they gave us our two complimentary half ales and let us have as many of the ale of the month as we liked.

The shop was good as well as we all chipped in and got each designated driver a crate of ales each much cheaper than supermarket prices

“Bewery tour”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

Up to this point I had visited several distilleries, but never a brewery.. and now was the time to remedy this. The tour commenced at 11.00 and it took a good 90 minutes, so was comprehensive, and at times over detailed. The guide was very pleasant and informative, and answered all questions the group had. There were less than 12 in the group. If anything, we got too much information, and then we got to the interesting part... a tasting session! I wasn't driving, so could sample all of the ales on offer... and my partner then came to drag me away.....

“Good value - stay for something in the cafe too”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

Good tour
Make sure you get something from the cafe - it is great. I particularly recommend the "Farmhouse Platter"

“Great tour”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

They've brewed on site for well over a hundred years so there's plenty of history to go with the science (alchemy?) behind brewing. The tour takes two hours which includes a sampling session at the end. Alan, our guide, was very knowledgeable and had a wealth of stories to tell. Great value for only £8.
