My wife and I are regular visitors to Cockermouth to visit relatives and invariably we stay at Graysonside. On our many visits to this welcoming B & B, we have always found it to be "home from home", with Janette and Andrew doing whatever is necessary to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the wide choice at breakfast which is served at separate tables puts many larger establishments to shame. Overall, faultless.

We spent 4 nights at Graysonside and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this family run establishment to anyone. We asked for a downstairs room and were allocated a separate little apartment from the main house. This was furnished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean every day. The King sized bed was huge and definitely had novelty value. There was ample parking in what appeared to be the old tennis court. If you want peace and tranquillity on top then this is the place to be.
The breakfasts were served in the main house and were tasty, hot and filling. There were also plenty of other options to choose from apart from ‘Full English’, all which were to the same high standard. On arrival we were also recommended the Hundith Hill Hotel as somewhere to eat. This too was so good we never eat anywhere else – sorry Cockermouth.

Room Tip: Try the Hundith Hill Hotel for an evening meal.

We spent two very enjoyable nights at Graysonside. Our accommodation was faultless, unlike many B&B's we have stayed in (where there is barely room to swing a cat!), we had lots of space and fantastic facilities. Janette and Andrew were really friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend.

We stayed for two nights with our dog and had a great time and a lovely stay. The room was spotless with all the facilities you could possibly need. The breakfast was amazing with superb choices, enough to keep everyone happy. We couldn't have been made more welcome. We will definitely be back again.

Room Tip: Just ask they will accommodate when they can. We can't say a bad thing about them.

I have just returned from a few days stay at Graysonside in the Lake District. Graysonside has been converted from a farmhouse and barns to a top class Bed & breakfast. When making the booking on their web site each room is described and you can choose which one you would like to book. This was the first plus point for me. On arrival I was not disappointed the room was better than expected. The quality and service of the breakfast was second to none, it has been longer than I care to remember that I have tasted such flavoursome bacon. Whenever I return to the area I will not consider staying anywhere different. I can not recommend highly enough.

Room Tip: Choose the room that meet your needs, you will not be disappointed, they are all of the same high st...

Stayed here for work and would never consider staying anyway else when in the area. A lovely welcome and the rooms and ambience are of a higher standard than any chain hotel I have ever stayed in. Lovely location , rooms equipped with everything that you could need. Breakfast service and choice is sublime. Can not recommend highly enough.

Have just spent a couple of nights at Graysonside and wish that it could have been longer. We had a suite and the rooms were perfect: spotless, spacious and very comfortable, with all amenities. There was a wide choice at breakfast and it was all plentiful. The wireless internet connection provided was strong and very useful. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and informative - in summary, a completely restful experience. I would highly recommend that if you are going to be visiting The Lakes or Cockermouth, you consider staying at Graysonside, you will not be disappointed.
