“Perfection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2012

This 5 star accommodation deserves 10! The owners Janette and Andrew were perfect hosts. We travelled a long way to a family wedding and this Hotel was the business. Our room was gorgeous, breakfast was spectacular, the grounds were beautiful. We stayed two nights and were very sorry to leave. This is a wonderful place.

What a fantastic find! Lovely room, very comfortable bed, large spotless bathroom and tasty large breakfast set us up well for a day walking. We only found this by accident and feel very lucky we did.
Best of all were the owners - friendly and helpful. Everything you hope from staying in a B&B. Would thoroughly recommend.

Visiting family in Cockermouth we needed somewhere to stay to avoid the sardine tin effect at their house. Having stayed at the original Farmhouse B&B that was Graysonside some 6 or more years ago, when some development was in the planning stage, and having enjoyed the stay then, we enquired into availability and subsequently booked a 2 night stay.
We arrived to find ourselves allocated Room 4, the same room we had last time, in the original farmhouse. This huge, ensuite room is fabulously appointed including comfortable armchairs and a flat screen TV and all the bits and bobs you would expect. Unexpectedly, although I'd have found out if I looked at the web site, there was a cracking free WiFi signal in the room: heaven.
There are now 9 "rooms" in all, including a family suite, two external  chalet-style en-suite Kings and a converted barn which is now two self-catering apartments.
The new, since our last visit, sympathetically added breakfast room / dining-function room is a pleasure to behold, and the premises are now licensed.
The owners, Jeanette and Andrew, are welcoming, friendly and informative and provided a superb breakfast to start the day.
Graysonside is not cheap, although it is very cheerful, but it is a "Top End" B&B and quality is always worth paying for.
Although it wasn't our purpose on this visit, Graysonside is perfectly located for Keswick and the Lakes as well as Cockermouth itself. Oh, and don't miss the Jennings Brewery whilst you're there.

We stayed for two nights in a suite as we were attending a wedding in Maryport. THe accomodation was absolutely outstansding and the breakfast one of the best we have ever had. It is in a lovely position with extensive grounds with beautiful views across the fells.
We would absolutely recommend this small hotel - it is superb.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a suite

for any one going to this area whether it be for business or pleasure, please do not miss out on staying in the facilities of graysonside, not only can you expect a very warm and friendly welcome but what they are providing can not be match by any four star hotel that i have stayed in recently and they deserve every reward that they have and more.

Had a loverly stay at the Graysonside and it throughly deserves its 5 star rating.
We stayed in one of the detached rooms in the courtyard and this was again very clean and comfortable and warm, with a superb bathroom and shower.
Breakfast was immaculately served and presented with a great choice.
Made to feel welcome and will be definitely staying again.

Stayed one night only while on business with the choice of accommodation based on Trip Advisor reports. This place is spotlessly clean with one of the best presented, and tasting, cooked breakfasts that I have ever been presented with. I will certainly be back when next in the area.
