First impressions....it looks amazing!!!! We booked in eventually, there was a wedding on full swing and the staff were run off their feet. On entering the room I was pleasantly surprised, lovely clean room and enormous en-suite. I had booked a luxury double with valley views and a seating area..... I think we were given the classic double, not as described in the brochure....however I could not fault the room itself, spacious, imaculate and lovely furnished. We decided to have dinner in the bar area, it became rather full with locals and I now understand why. Fine dining quality with larger portions......probably one of the best meals we have ever had. The food was amazing!!! Piping hot, fresh and good quality ingredients. We will return, however we will contact the hotel direct to book.

Room Tip: contact the hotel direct and if requesting the Luxury doubles ask for one with a view and seaitng area.

We held our wedding reception here and therefore stayed over at the hotel along with a few of our guests. Some rooms have been refurbished and these are quite nice. Others haven't and are very dated. The food was nice, the hotel was clean and the views were nice. The hotel is average.

Our welcome at this hotel was super, the staff were really frienly and nothing was too much trouble. As there were few people staying we were given the choice of rooms and we were very happy with the one we chose. The food was plentiful and good, more than enough to satisfy tired walkers.

Decided to stay here last minute just as a night away for a break. On arrival the driveway and hotel look very grand. Reception is quite nice and staff helpful. Our room was very small and dated but as i said it was a last minute thing. The bathroom was ok but mouldy windowsill and crack in the window.
We were too late to book an evening meal in the restaurant but were told there were bar meals available. We decided to eat in the bar. What an experience, i felt like i was eating in an old peoples home. The room has fitted seats all the way around the room, tables are right next to each other so no privacy. The bar was also filled with regulars, at 35 i felt extremely young! The meal as stated was homemade. It was ok but quite bland.
I would give the hotel a 4/10, been but wouldn't return.

Hotel in a nice location with attractive exterior,Luxury double room nice and spacious and well finished. The only let down was the chaotic breakfast service they seemed to have miscalculated the number of guests and kept moving the tables around, the breakfast itself was nice it would have rated as excellent if the baked beans had been hot.
