We enjoyed it so much on the first visit we went back again the next day! The food had lots of flavour and was very fresh tasting. We particularly liked the Mediterranean platter, spicy wedges and bruschetta. This place does excellent dips. The pizzas had a great home made rustic taste, the only niggle I would have was that the ragu with lentils lacked flavour but maybe my taste buds are too use to chilli and garlic. We would go again.

The service is great, the waiters were very kind and they have those "small details". It may sound stupid but when we order few beers, she offer us a jar with tap water. I found it very polite. Also they were very quickly.
Lets go with the food. For be a vegetarian restaurant is very very expensive. I use to cook veg food and I know the price of an aubergine, so 10,5 pounds for an Aubergine Parmigiana...and 9.75 for a risotto...I found it expensive for vegetables (you have aubergines for less than 1 pound) plates that are not difficult to make at home.
The mushrooms with the Yorkshire pudding were very nice, but again is easy to make a sauce with cream, mushrooms and garlic. Nothing special.
I wont come back unless the put reasonable prices for VEG food.

We visited Fellinis with friends not because it is a vegetarian restaurant because we are not vegetarian.
We visited because when we popped in earlier in the day to look at the menu we were cordially greeted, the menu looked good and the potential ambience looked superb.
We were not disappointed and neither must others have been because on a regular mid week evening in early June the place was packed.
The staff were warm and welcoming and genuinely seemed please to be working there. There may have been some Brits among them but we didn’t get to see any.
The ambience was superb and the vertical wall based water feature added greatly to the “difference” of the place.
The menu is very comprehensive and the prices not cheap but very reasonable for what you get which is quality and taste.
We started with a number of options which we shared. Way out front were the garlic mushrooms in a Yorkshire pudding cup. Why we had not thought of this before escapes me but the combination of juicy mushrooms in a tasty and not too garlicy sauce contained inside a medium sized fresh Yorkshire pudding was just perfect.
Mains again were all excellent but the Pecan and Cashew Nut Wellington was just wonderful. Imagine a comfortable slice of crusty pastry covered slightly spiced minced steak roll in a medley of beautifully done seasonal vegetables and served with a big smile and you have the picture. I would like to go back there tonight such is the pleasure I am drawing from the memory of the experience.
A delightful Pino Grigio Rose washed it down together with as much iced lemon water you want, and the water was free, rounded off a great gastronomic feast which left no room for dessert.
For 5 the bill was a modest £90 and excellent value for money it was.

Next time we are in Ambleside we will be back

Good pizza and the artichoke tortellini was excellent. They consistently produce good food with friendly service. The cinema suppers are an excellent idea for the lakes.

Maybe we chose the wrong items off the menu, but we found the food to be distinctly average and the service was pretty poor. My pizza was cold when brought to the table and a pasta dish was as hot as the sun. Also we ordered the "poached pear in salty caramel sauce" which came in a fruity sauce and therefore was not as described or what was wanted. When we queried it we basically got a shrug from the waiter who wandered off to check and never came back. Had to ask 3 times for the bill but by this point just wanted to go and didn't argue the bill. Maybe that's how they make their money?

We haven't been there for many years (maybe 5 or even 6) and our memory of it was very good, so this was a disappointing and quite expensive experience.
