Having researched the numerous eateries in and around Ambleside we finally decided to hedge our bets on the Glass House; it was a chilly evening and we were perusing the menu on display outside but were invited in to the restaurant to view the menu in the warm and in better light. The warm welcome and tasty looking menu ensured we were there for the evening and we were not disappointed.
We opted for the prawn noodle starter followed by the seabass with truffle mash and salmon with soy and honey, along with two glasses of wine; all were tasty, so we then treated ourselves to the chocolate mousse/fondant with raspberry sorbet.
The meal and service were all good and we didn't begrudge paying the £47 unlike the night before when we dined at Doi Intanon.
All in all...lovely fresh tasty food in a nice building with good friendly service.
