Three night stay in room 6 was best part of a ten day UK trip. Excellent location, professional and friendly hosts, service could not be faulted. Spacious room, exceptionally clean and well equipped. Most importantly, for someone from Australia, the room was cool and airy i.e. not overheated like many English rooms. You could turn on the efficient heating independently if you wished but weren't subject to compulsory overheating like some establishments. Room was also very quiet. Location is central for many of the best things to do in the area and you could easily spend your time without needing to use a car. A very highly recommended place to stay.

This was our second visit to Easedale lodge because we liked it so much the first time - it made sense to make it our home away from home again this year.

Ownership had changed but the B&& was the same. Lovely, cozy, comfortable, clean and perfectly located, and Sarah and Dave (the new owners) were welcoming and warm.

Breakfast is full English, but you're given a choice to select certain items or enjoy the full monty with a nice selection of cereals, fruits and juices to start.

We would not hesitate to stay at Easedale Lodge again, next time we visit Ambleside.

Room Tip: We stayed in RM 1 this time - front of the house - dual aspect over the commons - very comfortable...

Comfortable room (room 7) but felt that the toilet could be slightly bigger. Especially like the toiletries provided, they are eco-friendly.

Both Sarah and David are fantastic and cooks lovely breakfast!

Having not visited the lakes before, we took to trip advisor to find out where to stay and stumbled upon Easedale Lodge. We were not disappointed by what we found. The room was well appointed, just like the pictures (Room 2). Sarah and Dave were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our five night stay, and the breakfast was very good every day, especially the home made granola. We did notice from other guests, Sarah had requested speciality food items, such as pork-free sausages, which whilst we didn't need, is good to know you could request in advance.

On the day we climbed Scafell Pike, we gave Sarah and Dave our route and asked them to ring us at a particular time to check we were ok, which they did. It was reassuring having someone local we could lean on in an emergency. They had plenty of OS maps and guide books all of which were available to borrow from the lounge.

On the Tuesday it was my girlfriend's birthday and they kindly arranged for a local florist to deliver some beautiful flowers to our room.

There was parking onsite for 4 cars, with overflow parking at the nearby football club (about 5 mins away). All in all, a fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Sarah and Dave

Recently arranged a catch up with some friends whilst I was back in the UK for a while. Stayed at Easedale for two nights, cannot rate it higher.
Great location, cleanest hotel I have ever been in, super friendly hosts, most comfortable bed ever and a good breakfast.
Go for the mid range rooms as the size is good also, the cheaper rooms are pretty small.
Would go back again!

Room Tip: The 110 pound rooms are the best option

We stayed with Sarah & David and the service was fantastic as were the rooms, we had their 2 best en-suite rooms and they were absolutely spotless, and probably some of the most comfortable beds there are in any Hotel, Tea & Coffee is in all rooms, the Bathrooms are very well appointed and there are plenty of toiletries on hand in each room,as were Hairdryers etc
You certainly wouldn't be allowed to leave there without a full stomach, the breakfast selection was excellent as was the standard of cooked breakfasts.
We will return, thanks once again.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms, there is no noise from any other rooms
