We stayed at Waterhead Bay and loved the area. A lovely walk into Ambleside along the river bank was good. A boat trip was fun. Some lovely sunsets over the bay.

Waterhead is the north port and is much smaller than Windermere. This is also a good thing as there is less tourist groups and is much more tranquil to walk about.

Had dinner twice here during our stay in Ambleside. There is a specific area where dogs are allowed. The Staff were all very helpful and friendly.
