Stayed for 3 nights in August in the Windermere Suite and would recommend this room to anyone. Room very spacious with comfortable bed and the separate Bath and Shower were amazing. View from balcony good (when not raining). Staff were great and very helpful. Will return again. Food is great but only thing is you get far too much on your plate and couldnt manage 2 let alone 3 courses. Breakfast was also good and another large portion. Will definitely be returning again and staying in the Windermere Suite.

Room Tip: Book the Windermere Suite, Very spacious and has the Bath in a separate part of bathroom. Views great from the Balcony too.

Returned to the Wateredge Inn after a 5 year gap. Rooms are still in good condition and the Hotel is located at the head of lake Windermere. Outside has been changed to give you seating if you want a drink or snack with a great view assuming the weather is acceptable. Food is Pub + with specials and well presented, it's not fine dinning but good quality. As a resident you get priority service which is good.

Breakfast was well presented and in the area overlooking the lake.

this hotel has the best beer garden with scenic views. it has a pier so u can bring your boat and have a pint or two. the food is great. the hotel is dog friendly. there's a roaring fire in the winter when it's cold. the rooms are beautifully furnished. the fishers landing is gorgeous. its a short distance walk to ambleside.

Sitting in the most unbelievable location this Inn offers good value, clean and comfortable accommodation. The gardens, which have lots of different seating options, lead directly to the lake edge. The pier for the lake boats is a very short walk away. Parking is free. We stayed for 2 nights during August in one of the garden rooms. The rooms was a very good size and nicely furnished. Certainly comparable to a 4 star hotel. The situation of the room is very close to the road but this should not put one off since this does quieten down by 11pm (possibly earlier) and activity doesnt really start until 7.30am or later. Breakfast is excellent and a wide variety is offered. The menu offered otherwise is a bit pub foody. The steak my husband ordered was very disappointing indeed, the meat being of poor quality and the cooking of it left a lot to be desired. The kitchen was extremely busy on this day which may be why this occurred however it was terrible. The Dining Manager did apologise and offer to make good. The burger I had was absolutely fine. Staff are very calm and helpful, whilst remaining inobtrusive. The whole property was clean and well looked after. I would definitely stay here again without a doubt.

Great pub this........off the boat and a great pint on the lake edge. When it's chilly it has a wonderful bar with a roaring fire and dog friendly. A great stop off on the way to Ambleside or just a look at the shops. It has an excellent selection of beers and the pot of tea is very nice also.
