Description: Lucy4 Wine Bar & Bistro is tucked away in the backstreets of Ambleside and is a combination of cockt4ils, wines, continental and local bottled beers, soft drinks, together with a wide range of mix and match style food ... it's not exactly tapas in that the portions are bigger than tapas and a little more interesting in variety. It's a fun and fiendish place 4 everyone ... Ideal 4 Individuals, Perfect 4 Parties, Cosy 4 Couples and Fun 4 Families. Live Acoustic guitar most Sundays from 9pm. Open daily from 5pm and last food orders at 10.30pm. Set on two levels, with entrances at both - outside decking area as well as small, compact bar area. Friendly staff, all in all an interestingly, different dining experience - if you do anything ... do a chocolate fondue - be a Devil and try Lucy4!

Very informal tapas type of meal. Four of us shared various dishes which were imaginative and really well prepared.

What a fantastic place, it really does tick all the boxes..great atmosphere, quirky decor, welcoming staff, an array of tasty treats on the menu at really reasonable prices (for Ambleside) and the best cocktails I have had in a long while ( I can highly recommend the Black Forrest Gateaux Martini and a close second would be the Porn Star Martini that comes with a prosecco chaser)
A game of Domino's, a selection of cocktails and a wonderful couple of plates of tapas (Patatas Bravas and Roasted Pigeon) made for a great girly start to our evening! Lovely to have the option of a bit of alfresco dining on their terrace but equally nice to sit in the beautifully lit restaurant downstairs or comfy couched bar area upstairs. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! A special thank you to our wonderful waitress and personal mixologist Izzabell for those amazing cocktails!

Hidden away in Ambleside is this cosy little pub/wine bar. A lovely place to relax and unwind. We ordered 4 plates to share. All absolutely delicious - Lamb tagine, Chicken, Tuna and Avocado salad. The only damper was the avocado pear was VERY over ripe and discoloured. This should have been taken off the menu until fresh ripe avocados were available. We were given a discount but as it was so visibly not right staff should have been more proactive and explained before they served our meal.

We stumbled across this place and went in as it did wine and cocktails. The service was great, we were greeted warmly, given all the menus and told if we had any questions at all to just ask. The cocktails were nice, but a little bit small. The food came quickly and was excellent. I would especially recommend the pork ribs. If we were to be in the area again we would eat here again.
