Great location in the Lake District, made all the better by Neil & Lesley's great service...particularly welcoming for our 2 year old daughter - who loved feeding the chickens ! Room 8 was spacious enough for all 3 of us and had room to spare...

We would happily revisit again :-)

As my wife and I were the first Guests' to be welcomed by Neil & Lesley 12 months ago we were more than keen to return again and see what changes they had made. Breakfast was a real treat Rachel my wife has always said I wish Guest Houses would offer an alternative to the traditional cooked English. ( Not that we do not like it) , but we also like FISH and we were not disappointed to find a specials board with the option of Peppered Mackerel and scrambled egg We stayed 8 nights Rachel had that option 3 times & I had it twice. Well done Neil & Lesley we did not complain before but you have added to the urge to return. This is a must for comfort, scenery and good hospitality.

Room Tip: All Rooms are good, but the converted barns etc are well worth the extra cost for space and convenie...

To celebrate Neil and Lesley's arrival a year ago, we had a champaign breakfast. A wonderful example of their welcome and care. They really do go the extra mile. We look forward to returning.

Leslie and Neil were the stars of the show on our weekend away. They were kind, warm and extremely hospitable - going the extra mile as standard. The location is breathtaking and perfect for a walking break as you can set off from the front door. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All in all excellent value for money and a marvellous find! We hope to return!

If you want a wonderful welcome in a serene and idyllic spot then this is the place for you!! Lesley and Neil are generous and warm hosts. They provide not just perfectly appointed accommodation but also that extra touch of home!
Great food...lovely rooms....on the Cumbrian Way.... near Ambleside, Coniston , Windermere and Bowness ....and great value for money too! It has it all!
Been twice now in last 3 months and can't wait to send others there too!
Thank you so much Lesley and Neil. A very special couple!

Room Tip: All rooms are immaculate. Choose a barn room for that extra touch of magic or if you have a dog!

If you are thinking of sharing your precious holiday time or weekend near to Ambleside I recommend the wonderful Ellterwater Park Guest House run by Lesley and Neil. They make this place so welcoming and my bedroom was immaculate with crisp white bedding, with an en suite with a warm electric shower and plenty of towels. The view from the lounge is wonderful with grandeur aplenty. The garden birds are plentiful and add that extra touch of nature close by. The food is fresh beautifully cooked and plentiful. Lesley and Neil will give you all the help and courtesy any guest would wish. They truely make this a place a gem that on leaving you will, if able want to return to time and time again.

My wife and I spent three weeks travelling in the UK. We had decided to spend a few days in the Lake District relaxing before dragging ourselves home and back to work. Neil and Lesley, our hosts at Elterwater Park, made us comfortable from the get go. As we had been walking for the better part of 3 weeks, we took a few strolls through the Cumbria Way trails but mostly just relaxed. We were able to watch Neil and Lesley with their guests. They spoke with nearly all on a first name basis and received many a hug on departure.
We ourselves do not have pets , but it was nice to see others with their dogs in tow. Young children having fun searching for chicken eggs. A unique and beautiful setting operated by a wonderful couple. Try it and you will go back.. we know that we will
