“Just a great relaxed house for a family and friends get together”

My 60th birthday get together with family and friends, fantastic from the arrival to the end. Plenty to do inside 2 large TV's with sky, pool table, chess table amused our 3 yr old and plenty of bathrooms with two spa baths and fancy light/music showers. Fantastic views from all front facing Windows. Great kitchen where everyone took a few turns at producing great meals. Spacious bedrooms with comfy beds and the house was warm. Do take your own towels though.
Fabulous garden to explore and relax in the ultra modern electric jacuzzi or play air hockey or ping pong. A short walk to the cove is a must - stunning.
There was space for everyone to get together or find a quiet spot to just sit and read.
Plenty of dishwashers, washing machine etc all facilities for an an all round great holiday, if you love getting together and the Lake District you should stay here. Loved it and would go back.

“Spacious little complex”

We had an amazing time here in June. The house is so big and open that we didn't fall on top of each other. There was plenty of space for numerous cars too and we didn't feel like we were bothering the neighbours (the few that there are) when we were playing outside.

Nice distance away from the beach and the small village (where there is a co-op and a pub). Not too hard to find and it is completely equipped. We got a food deliveries to the house which was a good idea if you all team up to order your food :).

Rooms were all great, especially the rooms with hot tubs. Unfortunately during our stay there was little hot water so we couldn't completely use this facility but it didn't matter too much and the owner was kind enough to give us to compensation for this!

Jules was a pleasure to communicate with - he answered all of our inquiries quickly and friendly. We only wish we could have spent more time there!

“wonderful”
Reviewed August 14, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

spent a week at bay view, 18 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs. We had a fabulous time. Loads of space in the fantastic house, which meant we werent falling over each other. lovely location and views, plenty of room to play boards games without disturbing others. we even managed to have a "pub quiz" in the lounge that everyone took part in. not too far to travel to other destinations like the lakes etc. Deposit returned within 3 days of us returning home, jules very helpful on our arrival. Would recommend without hesitation.

What a fantastic place to go , a group of us have just spent the weekend here and had a blast ! The house itself was clean and spacious each room had it's own toilet and shower facility. The outdoor area and views were lovely , there was a shop and a few pubs close by , the hots tubs were great althouh the outdoor one took quite a while to fill up .
Overall a great place to go xx

“Fantastic for our large family get together”
Reviewed April 22, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Bay view house was ideal for our large family get together of 22, from ages 10months - 65 years young.

The house was spotlessly clean. Furniture was a little tired but more than adequate.
Rooms were lovely however some of the wardrobes lacking in clothes hangers. Some of the lighting didn't work but this wasn't really an issue.

The views were stunning and the gardens were lovely, but in need of a little tlc. Maybe pave the terrace instead of having stones. Then you can enjoy your morning coffee bare foot. The hot tub was little dirty and if you want to use it I would advise starting the fire at the crack of dawn lol, also make sure you have plenty of wood.

You can clearly see a lot of work has been done throughout the house. The mattresses were very comfortable in the majority of the rooms. The showers were lovely but it would benefit some instructions on how to work the steam showers.

We had an issue with the heating and hot water, which Jules sorted out immediately. We had a gas engineer out within a couple of hours, and we had no further issues.

The induction hob was great but could do with more induction pans and frying pans. Ideally if money was no object for a house this size it could do with another oven and a couple more hob rings. Also would benefit having oven gloves and a few extra tea towels, hand towels and bath mats.

We would definitely recommend bay view to others families. I could see some larger adult groups struggle with a couple of the bedroom layouts but if you have children it's perfect.

It was a nice walk to the pubs. We had a lovely meal in the Silverdale hotel, but I would recommend booking before hand. The royal, at silverdale was lovely and even donated fire wood to us.
We had a Indian from the local Indian, but
if you do order keep in mind they don't deliver.

We would recommend the arnside chip shop, the staff were very friendly and the food was great. If you go on their website they have a web cam so you can see if it is busy, or you can see your chips being picked up by your designated driver.

Deposit was paid back immediately.

Jules was very accommodating and responded to any questions we had whist we were there. Overall we all loved this house and would definitely return in the future.
