There's a relaxing atmosphere at Queen's Gardens. The flowers are very colourful and make you feel happy. The fountain in the heart of the garden which makes tall jets of water in the summer and is just an ornament in winter. First-class area and would visit again.

Nice little green space, in the centre, but needs a few more plants and flowers as a bit sparse. Hull city in general needs to have rubbish collected from the pavement sides and hedges.

Worth a visit in the summer to sit and eat your lunch, just avoid term-time, as its usually filled with bloomin college students! Very nice little pond though, and usually have events on of some sort

My association with Hull started in 1962 when I moved to the City to join Ideal Standard as a Trainee. That association continued over decades as I married a Hull girl and we frequently and regularly return.

The one, and only, consistent thing that the Council gets right is its attention, support and finance of the green areas, gardens and numerous central road areas under cultivation. I rate the approach to Hull on the A62 (not Clive Sullivan Way) as. along with Coventry, one of the most attractive City approaches in the country.

Queen's Gardens are a credit to the City and the band music during the summer, on those very occasional hot days, are a joy to sit in and appreciate. Or even just walking passed to collect the car before a traffic warden scores another hit !
