This was an amazing pub and restaurant with a great selection of beers and wines. There is a great choice of local foods with a deli range including cheese, meats, pies, etc. However, the beer café has a great atmosphere with a mix of locals and visitors alike. There is a small frontage which is not necessarily appealing but with a hidden gem of a beer café inside. Definitely somewhere to visit when in town. Excellent and accommodating service.

Being a 5'1" blonde, people might think I don't know my beer! They'd be wrong! I keep up with my husband quite nicely thanks! Anyway, the beer in this establishment has never failed to disappoint. They have an extensive menu of beers, lagers and ciders and it is all kept to perfection! The staff are friendly and helpful and let you try before you buy. They have just started a charcuterie menu which we have yet to sample. Sure it won't be long. The cafe has a healthy, buzzy atmosphere, full of leather sofas and although just an oblong room still manages to impart that quirk factor! In my opinion their walls are crying out for some art. Could take a leaf out of the Dragon Bar in Hastings and display local artists work? If you decide to do this Fuggles, remember who suggested it!

Fuggles offers a fantastic and varied selection of continental and British beers. They also have a growing selection of Gins, Whiskeys and wines. They offer British and locally sourced charcuterie and have a tie in with a local Italian pizzeria so pizza can be delivered straight to your table. There is a relaxed vibe and a mixed crowd. It is a great addition to the Town and I only wish I lived within walking distance.

We were staying with friends and after a day out we wanted a few lazy drinks before food. Our friend recommended we try Fuggles. The decor is good with kind of a relaxed chic thing. The staff welcoming and knowledgeable. We didn't try the food but apparently it is good but can't help with the menu as we weren't looking to eat. There is a decent selection of beers from all over and none of them are the usual suspects but some wild and wacky ones I had never heard of. They look after the beer well and are happy to let you try before you buy. For the non beer drinkers there is a good selection of wine of which my wife had the Malbec and was very happy with it. It is the kind of place you could have a coffee and read the paper for a morning or just a quick pint in the afternoon. I should imagine it is lively in the evenings and weekends. We will definitely being visiting again!
