Good , hotel , really friendly and decent breakfast ... Room 29 was fine , little small .

Staff seemed all genuinely helpful , the Only bugbear is parking .... If you arrive after about 6pm you will get a park opposite on mt edgecombe rd .

looked at so many hotels online in T Wells. Decided on this one based on reviews. Arrived 2 hours before check in - room was ready. Clean and we had a huge bath and shower. Would have been quite happy to stay in room all weekend. Easy walking distance to both parts of the town. Breakfast was included - Continental - was ok. We could have paid for cooked but decided against. Emailed hotel before stay with special requirements and they were met. Staff lovely. More than happy to extend check out til 12 if you ask. We will definitely return. Ps beds have lovely crisp white sheets :-)

My girlfriend and I stayed here for just 1 night as a stop over for a friend's wedding.

The hotel staff were very helpful, courteous and friendly. We arrived at 10.30am looking for an outside chance of a cheeky early check in. We knew this was very early and a very slim chance, but thankfully, the team there had already managed to turn the room around ready for our arrival which we were really chuffed with.

The room (14) itself was bright and airy, nice high ceilings and stylishly but simply decorated. Opening the door to the bathroom was like opening the wardrobe door to Narnia.. the bathroom was absolutely enormous. A very nice free standing bath, and a nice shower with a choice of standard or monsoon shower heads, again, this room was stylishly finished, bright, airy and clean.

For the price we paid, the room was very impressive, add to that the helpful and friendly staff, this is a place I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Only slight minuses were:

The water pressure in the shower, which was pretty weak.
The availability of convenient parking. There is an unrestricted road perpendicular to the road that the hotel is on, but it can be busy, and you may well have a little walk with your bags to the hotel if you're unlucky.

Stayed here for a wedding. Of all the options for that night it was the cheapest but also the best value for money. Room was clean and large as was the shower room. Breakfast was also very reasonable. Service behind reception very good too. Free wifi was a bonus.

Myself and my partner stayed here over the May bank holiday weekend for one night.
Having let my partner book I was surprised to find a great little garden out the back. From the front of the hotel it doesn’t look like much and the name gave me impression it was going to be basic. But there was a sun-room that led onto a patio which was a bit of a sun-trap and some steps leading up to a raised garden, again in the sun. There is a basic menu available during the day and the food was fine. The owner was also in the process of building an outside bar.

We arrived at 13:30 and the friendly staff showed us to our room which was ready for us early. The room itself was nice with a large double bed digital TV and plenty of hanging space with hairdryer, iron etc .also available.

The bathroom was a little small but it did have a rainshower in it. We both found that having a see-through glass door between the bedroom and bathroom was a little strange. A net curtain or modesty glass wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Sleep quality - The bed was comfy and the sheets were clean but the curtains weren’t very effective and they let in a lot of light (with the hotel being lit up at the front this didn’t help). The hotel was a little noisy. The main ceiling light rattled every time the person in the room above walked around. Our room was at the front of the hotel which did mean there was some traffic noise and the bin-men woke us up early, but if you request a room at the back of the hotel this could alleviate the problem. There is a gym on site and a spa brochure was in our room so either there is one on site or one locally.

Parking is available on the road out the front with some restrictions but we didn’t have a problem.

We needed this hotel as friends were getting married at the Hotel Du Vin just around the corner and we wanted a cheap alternative. It needs some maintenance but for a quick overnight stay this was a great little hotel with everything we needed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel

Very good value for money, no frills but what they do they do well, helpful and polite staff.
we had a room at the back overlooking the Gardens and it was very quiet and peaceful. patio looked very attractive for sitting out for a drink.
didnt have breakfast as we had an early start.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room at the back as there is a busy road at the front and it is an old building

We had arranged our wedding at The Barn around the corner from this hotel so decided it would be great to be able to walk here after the evening had ended. When we emailed the hotel to let them know they were very helpful and contniued to be everytime we had a question. They let us check in fairly late and gave us a FANTASTIC ROOM (22) which was very spacious and lush!
We could not recommend this hotel more for those visiting T.Wells especially those getting married or helping celebrate weddings at The Barn or surrounding venues! Thank you!

Room Tip: Back of the hotel, room 22!
