Don't let your first impressions rule as it is fairly small and they have no fancy decor etc..... However, the food is absolutely fantastic, fresh and well presented. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Best of all, the food is so reasonably priced.

I've eaten at these conveyor belt sushi places and spent lots and left hungry but this place always satisfies. Will be coming back regularly!

Kitsu might not look plush, and is certainly no frills, and they're not licensed (small corkage fee means that your bill at the end of the evening is low though!). However, the food and service is excellant, I've been numerous times in the evenings, and took my five year old last week for lunch which she enjoyed!

We have been eating here at least once a month for the last seven years. The food is consistently excellent, and superb value for money. You are unlikely to be disappointed with anything you are served. If you haven't been before, bring cash rather than a card. Unlicensed, but corkage for wine you bring yourself is minimal.

If you haven't booked, I would recommend you aim for what you would consider a quiet time - say 12 noon or 2 at lunch, before 7 or after 9 in the evening. The restaurant doesn't have many covers, and there's not a lot of room to wait if you turn up when they're busy.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we have all these years. Try the salmon-skin uramaki...

Honestly i am from Hong Kong, and Hong Kong is known to have excellent sushi! and I can gladly say that this restaurant can easily be one of the best Japanese restaurant, even in Hong Kong standard, If you ever, ever, come to Tunbridge wells, this is an unmissable restaurant to go to, and it is ABSOLUTELY a MUST GO!!!

Came here for lunch with my children one weekend last year. Undoubtedly the best, most varied and most interesting sushi I had ever had. Elder son enjoyed his. Younger one, aged about five, said he thought he mildly preferred the ones from the petrol station on the A21. We just humoured him as usual.
