“Lovely Sunday walks”

Love this place for a gentle walk. Great for wildlife watchers and photographers. Big dislike is the amount of dog poo.

“Lovely walk”

Great place, varied walks, doggy friendly, play park and cheap parking. Take your binoculars for the bird hide.

“Great place to walk with excellent views of the bay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

I love how close you can get to the sea from a safe path. The efforts being made to keep the place as a reserve are admirable which is why it's fenced in I guess. I never have much luck bird watching here and it's definitely worth getting a tide check and going at low tide when there are more waders. The countryside is very bleak and the whole area really seems unloved and rather abused. It makes the walks more fun as thesis nature at its rawest. When its wet and windy this is a challenge but sill worth a punt.

“All fenced in”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

This used to be a place where you could take the children and dogs and have an adventure roaming freely around. It is now all fenced in and you are herded about on pathways - very disappointed how this has evolved over the years. Yes you may see some ponies and yes it is a good place to see some estuary birds but the wildness has gone - remember this used to be the local rubbish tip 40 years ago!

“A nature-lover's delight.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

This nature reserve is a lovely place to visit if you wish to observe the many species of wild fowl who regularly visit. There are also many other examples of flora and fauna to be studied, too. It's a lovely place to walk your dogs, too. There are a variety of different walks, and also a small café and picnic area, too. If you are going to attempt a walk, make sure you wear comfortable shoes, and in winter, it gets VERY cold, so wrap up warm.
