Went with my gorgeous girl friend.for dinner down from London , Nice food but it is only Pizza. The drinks are very overpriced and the pizza although nice maybe a little cold , was ok .as the waiter said after 10 mins , is your food ok .The side order of fluffy chips was poor we had 3 each ........

Summary. Over priced drinks and average Pizza , certainly nothing special and not worth £55 for 2 people .....

Service was slow & indifferent. Waited ages for drinks order & even loger for food. They had run out of things such as pasta, eggs, tonic water. I had a terrible Fiorentina pizza where they used chopped up hard boiled eggs. Staff avoided making eye contact rather than apologising for delay. Restaurant was cold. When we told staff they blamed us for not telling them to put heating on. We complained to the so-called manager who agreed to reduce our bill. But then added a bottle of wine onto the bill and the tonic water they'd run out of.
This was a post-Xmas family meal with children and grandparents: appalling meal & service. Would recommend you go elsewhere.

We had a great meal here in New Year's Eve. The staff were fab and the building is really interesting. It used to be a bank.

As part of a group eating together we arrived at slightly differing times. When a few of us had arrived we got lots of attention, repeatedly being asked what we wanted. We explained that we were waiting for the rest of our group, but once they arrived we had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to come over and take our order, both food and drinks. We ordered from the 3 course Christmas menu. Looks good on paper but how wrong we were! The pork belly pizza was very unpleasant, the 'pork' was all fat and placed sporadically around the pizza. The picture displayed of this pizza on the Christmas menu is loaded with toppings and it is pretty much false advertising to display something and then provide something that looks nothing like it. We enquired about the gluten free options and the waitress was clueless - coming back to the table with 'naw it's not and it's outta stock anyways' we also enquired about soft drink alternatives and this was more hassle for the staff. She needed to repeatedly go and check with someone else to answer our questions, which really were not complex! The gluten free pizza arrived and was about half the size of the 'normal' equivalent. When we enquired about this we were told that this is just the way they come. This was not mentioned anywhere. As a gluten free diner you therefore have to pay the same amount of money for something half the size, with half the toppings! Not impressed. There was one gluten free option in the Christmas menu starters which obviously does not provide any choice at all. Desserts was also shocking. They arrived at different times and after enquiring about a gluten free brownie as an alternative to the sorbet I was given a tiny plate with a tiny slice of brownie from the children's menu. Again we complained and were told by who we presumed was a manager that that is just the size of it, I exchanged it for the sorbet and we were given a [--] attitude by the manager who sarcastically commented on the portion size! Everyone's desserts came at different times, meaning that everyone was eating at differing times. Needless to say we did not leave a tip. For a restaurant supposedly proud of their collaboration with Coeliac UK we were shocked at the level of service, the hassle to provide suitable alternatives and the poor choice available. I would not recommend the Christmas menu to anyone. Not one member of our group commented on how nice their food was, and we certainly won't be returning!
