This hotel is a bit off the beaton track but is a thirty minute walk along the coast road or £3;60 Taxi ride so is not in the sticks we had room 201 in the room were 3 large windows 2 with stunning sea views and 1 x with countryside view room had all the things you would need for a break Fan Freeview tv nice size tv plenty of storage Hairdryer some seating. The staff at the hotel are exceptionally polite and helpful, breakfast downstairs in one of the function areas with access to the decked area if you want to eat outside 10 paces across a really quiet is the hotels own Bar Restuarant which has a good choice of beers ,lagers, ciders & wines at very reasonable prices and a menu if not very large choice outside of traditional pub grub there were still enough choices to tickle the old taste buds and the menu changes 1 or two items daily. Also being part of the hotel you can charge all your purchases to the hotel card.closest town is Ramsgate which has a nice beach & marina and some reasonable bars & restuarants if not much else not a shoppers haven back to the hotel would recommend to anyone that wants a break away from the mainstream with some nice walks and views. One extra bonus keep an eye out for Stanley ? he is a seal which frequents the area.

Room Tip: We were on our first visit and room 201 was spot on bit of noise at the weekend because the bar was...

Stayed here for partner's birthday, staff couldn't have been more helpful, location idyllic, and room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated.

Tempted not to write a good review in case others find it and start filling it up, as we'll definitely be back !

I'm often in Sandwich and normally stay in one of the pubs in town. They were all booked this time, so we gave the Pegwell Bay Hotel a go. Despite looking a little Fawlty Towers in photos, it's fairly modern, very comfortable, has decent facilities and a really good breakfast, served in an impressive dining room overlooking the sea, reached by an under-road foot tunnel.

I suspect the location might not be completely ideal, but having spent all day working on a boat, we were happy with somewhere comfortable to crash and where we could have a bite to eat and a couple of pints - for that, it was perfect.

Good showers and helpful service, too.

I've stayed in a number of rooms on several occasions - the suites are lovely and spacious - one even had a sleigh-bed! The larger rooms tend to have 2 beds pushed together instead of a double, but are very spacious with good storage, and the smaller rooms that I have stayed in have had a double bed, not much storage, but large bathrooms. Room 103 had a lovely old fire place giving it a bit of character, a lovely view of the cliffs and Pegwell Bay, and a big bathroom and shower.

The breakfasts have always been very tasty, and if you are going out early in the morning (before 0700), the night porter will put out some bread, a toaster, cereal and juice in reception, so you can fix yourself something before you go.

There is a large free car park which is very handy, and a selection of soft and alcoholic drinks can be purchased in reception. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in the rooms, as is a hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi is provided via the cloud which is good.

The only niggle that I have, is that they don't provide bottled water in the rooms - as a non tea/coffee drinker it would be nice not to have to supply my own water if I want a drink (the tap water doesn't taste great!!).

There are two nice pubs across the road, with fantastic views over the bay - The Bell Vue in particular, which has a beautiful deck area out the back.

I would definitely stay here if I find myself in the area again.

Room Tip: 103 was nice but small with a large bathroom, 206 was spacious but had two beds pushed together inst...

An overnight stay while attending a function at The Winter Gardens in Margate. The Hotel is a Victorian building with a big car park in front. The inside of the Hotel though is modern and very clean and comfortable. The rooms were good sized with comfortable beds and an en-suite shower/w.c. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided with cups and saucers and biscuits, a nice touch. Free WiFi and Satellite TV were provided also. An enjoyable nights stay, would definately use again.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here in June. We saw a few venues in Kent, but after seeing the wonderful sea views from the decking we were sold. The staff have been amazing from start to finish, from Becca's help throughout the process of organising the big day and making it an easy process, to the smiles and can do attitude of all the staff there. We had the most amazing day and our guests did too. We had many comments from our guests saying how much they enjoyed the food and how lovely the venue was. Many of them have never been to this area before and loved it, some have said they will come back and stay again. Our room was spotless and had fabulous views - seeing the sea from our bed helped us sleep the night before. The DJ recommended by the hotel was excellent. The evening fork buffet was the best we have ever eaten (how often do you see green lipped mussels on a buffet?) and again our guests made comments about how delicious it all was. They also said how good the staff were, especially the girls serving the food at the reception. To everyone working at the Pegwell, we thank you for making our wedding the best day of our lives. Nothing was too much trouble and it was much appreciated. Anyone else getting married should consider this place for their wedding, they won't be disappointed! Tina & Neil Johnson

Room Tip: Saxon suite has lovely views of the sea.

Nice Hotel but a little too far out of town unless you enjoy a very long walk. Clean comfortable and friendly. Easy Parking with 2 pubs over the road offering a reasonable menu. Without transport not an ideal location as there are no buses that serve the hotel. All in all an average hotel.
