Had heard good things about the Brassiere, there is no doubt once you have passed the shabby entrance and toilets the view is spectacular. However there was a lack of atmosphere for the evening service. The laminated place mats and cheap paper napkins were the same as the lunch time service. The food was of a very high standard if a tad over- priced. It was a Saturday night and the place not even half full.

We had lunch here on a dull day. Warm reception. Both had the local fish and chips which were the special that day. Very enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed with couples and families enjoying drinks with or without food. Coffee and oysters made up 1 order!

Menus were on the placemats and the drinks list on the tables. We found a good selection of wines by the glass.

The outside area would have been lovely on a sunny day. Our only reservation was the access would have been difficult for disabled. We are lookingf forward to a return visit.

Don't let the outside put you off! This place is lovely inside and the views are stunning on both sides. We came along at lunchtime and were very happy with the food and are looking for an excuse to come back very soon !

We decided to try this place for breakfast instead of having it at the local Travelodge where we were staying. A five minute stroll along the sea wall to get to it on a sunny Sunday morning was a very pleasant way to start the day. The building looks a bit tired on the outside, but the inside is well decorated and has the most beautiful views out to open sea on one side and Ramsgate seafront and harbour on the other side. There was a good choice for breakfast, including the usual full english but I went for the smoked salmon and scrambled egg and really enjoyed it. The egg was clearly freshly cooked and not just shoved into a microwave jug and stirred with a fork which is often what the budget hotels serve up. The full english breakfast looked good and was certainly generous. The service was fab; very friendly and made for a really relaxed atmosphere which was perfect for a lazy Sunday morning. They even had a selection of toys which kept my 7yr old happy. I think this place is a little gem and I'll definitely be back. Don't miss it.
