This restaurant is fairly new, so while they settle in they only open for evening meals on a Friday and Saturday. Very sensible. When I booked a table for six, I mentioned that at least two of us would like skate wings. They have a limited number of specials. When we arrived the Chef, Adrian, had remembered this and three of us had skate. Deliciously cooked. The other three had a very tasty fish dish. His home made desserts were mouthwatering.
As soon as we arrived we were made very welcome, and given a table overlooking the harbour. The position of the restuarant is unique, at the end of the harbour wall. When the lights gradually came on we commented we could have been in the south of France. The level of service was attentive and just right. Don't worry, Adrian, we will be back.

We have visited this location quite a few times over the years when it was a fish and chip restaurant called The Eagle. However it is now in good hands. Shabby exterior but genuinely eclectic interior and surrounded by the sea on both sides guaranteeing panoramic views. Rather like dining on a ferry boat but with well cooked excellent fresh food and very friendly service. Not a large choice of menu or wine list but daily specials and house wine were excellent.
Adrian Mowl is an experienced chef and was chosen to cook for the Queen on one occasion. Has a good range of locally sourced food. Unpretentious and relaxed with a pianist on Saturday night

I am a little to young to Remember the old restaurant on this pier. I always heard good things about it and hoped this one would be as good if not better. I am pleased to say it is lovely a very nice menu serving breakfasts all day a great selection of pastries and drinks.

It has a great atmosphere allowing people to play the piano. Fantastic service and a great quality of food. i recommend braving the short walk along the pier its well worth it.

we walked in freezing weather just to have a look as very tatty on the outside so not expecting much, but the atmospehre is just lovely and so friendly , we stopped and had a drink and just watched the stromy seas against the harbour,
We would have eaten there if it was open on Easter Monday but not to be this time
going there for lunch soon as food looked very good and cant wait to
sit and linger there

great space shame about the food. i asked 8 friends to join me for a birthday lunch and the food was embarrassingly bad. Everyone was too polite to say on the day as they didn't want to upset me. I maybe should give it another go but I don't want to chance it......
