Just returned from a 2 night stay at the hotel with 8 friends ...perfect .Rooms clean and comfy .cosy sitting room and lovely walled garden with the honesty bar.The breakfast was tasty .full english on offer (scrambled eggs delicous).Staff very friendly and felt homely NOT
stuffy in any way .A Mirror in the bedroom would have been good as had to use the steamed up (small ) one in shower room.We came on train and pleased we did as parking tricky.
Lots to do near by and frankly the whole weekend was. boosted by the tremendous weather .
will be returning for sure

Room Tip: We had a room at the back which was good as think front could be noisy (23)

We had room 22 overlooking the harbour. Lovely view. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and homely. Rooms are a little bit small but the style of the hotel suits the rooms. Parking a slight problem but manageable. Stairs quite high and steep up to our room but we felt like we were staying in a friends house - very homely. Shower was great.
Breakfast was delicious and lots of options. Would go back.

Room Tip: If you're unfit and dont want to climb stairs, ask for rooms on the lower floors

Stayed overnight during a trip down "memory lane". Very pleasant staff and clean room though a little on the small side. Lovely small garden which is lit at night creating a great atmosphere. The honesty bars and free cheese and biscuits are a nice touch though the drink is a bit pricey. Good selection for a cold breakfast with large bowls of fruit salad and honey unusually served on the comb, though slightly more choice on the cooked breakfast would have been good and a vegetarian option or veggie sausages would have been appreciated. Us veggies often get the short straw with perhaps just an extra tomato or egg to replace the meat! But overall, would recommend this place and on the night we stayed it was the same price as a room in the Travellodge but they weren't including breakfats so stayed here instead and glad we did!

Room Tip: We didn't get a seaview as it was the last room available but I bet the views for some rooms are stunning!
