Styling itself as the 'only' royal harbour may or may not bear scrutiny. Portsmouth and Plymouth both have Queen's Harbourmasters. Be that as it may, Ramsgate harbour is a harbour. It has fishing boats, the occasional ferry to Belgium (we didn't see one) and a load of yachts. There again, the same is true of Dover, Harwich, Oban or Larne. Architecturally, Ramsgate harbour has the usual features - customs house, piers and so on. It's got a bit of history but, again, so have most harbours.
The one word that keeps coming to mind is 'unremarkable'.
