“A Perfect Breakfast”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

The breakfast was lovely and very affordable. A full English breakfast is just under £5. We sat outside and the comfortable chairs had blankets on the back of the chairs in case it is a bit chilly. There is a full view of the harbour. The Galley is quite small and the staff very friendly. It made our holiday break special.

“Fantastic breakfast, great coffee, and friendly people”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

We've stayed in the (very average) Travelodge a couple of times now and fortunately found this gem of a place on our first visit. We had looked in on the breakfast in the hotel at first, but the price and appearance of the food put us off.

So, fortunately, we found the Galley. It's on the slope up the Westcliff Parade in a row of charming eating places and galleries, with a wonderful view over the harbour.

The full English breakfast is £4.95. All ingredients are good quality and perfectly cooked. The coffee is freshly ground as well.

I think the fact that this small little café ranks in the top 10 of all the restaurants in Ramsgate tells you all you need to know.

“GREAT FIND!”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

We tried this café/restaurant for the first time this morning. We had a table outside overlooking harbour, with blankets supplied on back of chairs if chilly! The menu was extensive. I had a glass of wine and my husband had the steak sub, with mushrooms, side salad garnish, and a green tea. The service was excellent, friendly and quick. Was even brought out a bowl of peanuts as an extra. The café is very tiny, with shabby chic style.............lovely. We recommend. We will visit again.

“A Little Gem off the beaten track”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

My husband and I stumbled across this little Gem of a tea room whilst walking back to our car after a walk along the coastal path and marina.
We walked up some steps and discovered a row of tea rooms/restaurants all tucked away. As we were having dinner that evening we opted to have a late lunch of a High Tea. The sun was shining albeit a little chilly but couldnt resist sitting outside enjoying the views over the Marina. Lovely selection of food arrived - very fresh sandwiches/scone, jam and cream and couple of small cakes - large pot of tea which allowed us both to have 3 cups each. This was a Sunday and I am sure during the week there would be home made cakes offered on the High Tea - however it was ample for us. Hot water is offered to top up the pot.
High Tea is £6 per person but £11.50 for two. This tea room is not open on Monday.
A very wide selection of food on their menu from soup/sandwiches/desserts and specials.
When next in Ramsgate will definitely re-visit this quaint little tea room.

“Spot on Breakfast”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Great breakfast, ok so mushrooms were extra, but everything was cooked perfectly and tasted superfresh. Upstairs was full, outside way too cold - even with blankets provided, so we sat downstairs in the cosy basement. Even had a range of knick knacks to buy to rememeber your visit
